To all Justice Information Sharing Practitioners,

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)—in response to recommendations from the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) a Federal Advisory Committee (FAC) to the U.S. Attorney General on justice information sharing, together with support from the Global Standards Council (GSC)—is pleased to make available the following draft standards for an open public comment period:

Draft Arrest Reporting Reference Service:  Reporting arrest information is critical in keeping justice business partners and systems up-to-date with current details regarding arrests.  This service provides the ability to report new arrests, provide updates to arrests, and is intended to assist with automating policy response to reporting arrest information.   A likely consumer of this service is any agency able to issue arrest reports, most likely law enforcement agencies.

Draft Disposition Reporting Reference Service. Reporting disposition information is critical in keeping justice business partners and systems up-to-date with current details regarding dispositions.  This service provides the ability to report dispositions and is intended to assist with automating a policy response to reporting disposition information.   A likely consumer of this service is any agency able to issue disposition reports, most likely courts.

To review and comment on each service, please go to www.globaljusticetools.net. DEADLINE to review and comment is August 18, 2015.

Thank you—Team Global
